The test is for Undergraduates in their pre-final or final year interested in pursuing a post-graduate program in Indian Institutions of high repute.
A good GATE score has a lot of benefits, starting from financial aid in post-graduate studies from the MoE to entry-level job opportunities in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like ONGC, SAIL, etc. GATE scores are also recognized by international universities. It is conducted for about 30 different engineering disciplines as well as Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. A candidate can select up to 2 of them depending on their relevance to their interests or current field of study.
